Provide applications support to Valmet inside sales personnel and outside sales channels
Provide product selection and materials of construction technical recommendations, including sizing of valves/actuators and field equipment based on the customer’s data sheets and PI-diagrams.
Conduct product and applications training for internal and external personnel as needed.
Participate in the necessary training activities to establish technical competency.
May be required to be “on call” outside of normal office hours in order to provide emergency coverage.
Assist project and day to day business support teams as needed.
Member of the customer order engineering team chaired by the customer order engineering manager.
Travel maybe required to support the field sales channel and to promote Company products and services.
Answer phone and provide technical information on Valmet products.

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent technical degree
Minimal 2 years of related experience, familiar with valve industry is preferred
Must be proficient in MS Office suite
Aptitude to rapidly grasp technical knowledge Ability to troubleshoot products and perform failure analysis
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of Pulp and Paper, as well as Energy and Hydrocarbon industries is preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to develop channel and end customer relationships as well as build relationships internally
